Diptyque

Established in 1961 by three visionary friends – Christiane Gautrot, Desmond Knox-Leet, and Yves Coueslant – Diptyque has become synonymous with unparalleled craftsmanship, unique scents, and a commitment to transcending the boundaries of conventional fragrance.

Diptyque's tale begins in Paris, where the founders, fueled by a shared passion for art and travel, opened a small boutique at 34 Boulevard Saint-Germain. Originally a home décor store, it quickly evolved into a haven for artistic expression. The trio's love for fragrances led them to create scented candles, marking the inception of Diptyque's fragrant odyssey.

In 1968, the first Diptyque perfume, L'Eau, was introduced – a groundbreaking unisex fragrance that defied traditional gender norms. This marked the beginning of Diptyque's expansion into the world of fine perfumery.

Diptyque has collaborated with some of the most talented perfumers, each contributing a unique chapter to the brand's olfactory narrative. Among these pioneers is Olivia Giacobetti, known for her minimalist and poetic approach to perfumery. Her creations for Diptyque, such as Philosykos and Tam Dao, have become iconic scents in the brand's repertoire.

Another notable collaboration is with Fabrice Pellegrin, whose olfactory contributions include the enchanting Do Son and the evocative Eau Duelle. Together, these perfumers have played a vital role in shaping the identity of Diptyque's fragrance offerings.
