Venetian Blue Intense by The Merchant of Venice is a charismatic marine fragrance that reveals a new dimension of the Venetian man. The fragrance is based on a modern fougère structure, offering a new type of addiction. It was inspired by the ancient Venetian route, the Muda del Trafego, which was headed towards Tunis and, following Africa as far as Alexandria, ending in Beirut. This route was used to import valuable raw materials such as citrus, sandalwood, oregano, myrtle, mastic, and black mustard.
The top notes of the fragrance are apple, bergamot, lemon and pineapple. The citrusy-fruity opening is giving way to elemi, birch, patchouli and black pepper. The base notes include ambergris and musk.
The fragrance is enclosed in a vibrant playful flacon colored in a fresh blue with a murrina design, recalling the ancient decoration technique of Murano glassmakers. It is a part of the NOBIL HOMO collection from The Merchant of Venice, which aims to encompass the magnetic charm of Venetian noblemen.
